Lemos, Founder/CEO of Ambient Technologies, Inc., at the ETTAC Committee Members Meeting in Washington DC Carlos Lemos was appointed to the Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee (ETTAC) by the US Department of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo. Carlos Lemos was appointed to the Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee (ETTAC) by the US Department of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo. The objective of the ETTAC committee is to provide recommendation to the Environmental Trade Working Group (ETWG) agencies and trade Promotion coordinating Committee (TPCC). These recommendations will be to the Secretary of Commerce, Gina Raimondo, on matters related to the development and administration of programs to expand US exports of environmental technologies, goods and products and services that comply with our laws and safety. Marisa Lago, Under Secretary of Commerce, and Heather Evans Deputy Under Secretary presented to the committee the key items related to exporting of environmental technologies. The focused topics are: Climate and Emerging Environmental Technologies and Adaptation – Air quality and CO2 sequestration to prevent further greenhouse effects. Good prospects for our type of work in underground storage of CO2 and siting investigations. Supply Chain and Circular Economy- Issues related to Solid waste management, methane collection and recycling. Trade Facilitation, Competitiveness and Standards- How to improve export barriers and funding. Significant environmental cleanup work is anticipated in Ukraine. Members of the ETTAC committee included representatives from industry, professional consultants, and environmental associations. Most participants were from large firms and Associations. Ambient Technologies was one of the few small businesses representing the water, air, and land environmental industries.
