ATI Companies conducted installation, repair and replacement of Eleven (11) Monitoring Wells that included Cement Coring to access the sublayers, to monitor and remediate a deep and intermediate plume at the Orlando Executive Airport (former GOAA Dayron), and installation of Monitoring Wells at the Orlando Skate Park in Orange County, Florida. The purpose of these wells in addition to the previous Injection Wells (this project is ongoing since 2007), is to assist in assessing and remediating petroleum contaminated soil and groundwater related to releases of aviation fuel. The current wells are replacement wells that were destroyed during the expansion construction and everyday mobility at Orlando Executive Airport. Four are delineation wells that were damaged by activity at the Orlando Executive Airport. A GEOPROBE 7700 were used for the coring, the DPT (Direct Push Technology) Drilling and the drilling with Hollow Stem Augers (HSA’s). ATI Drilling has been providing installation of Monitoring and Injection Wells at the Orlando Executive Airport since 2007 and this has been ongoing project for the remediation of the area of a World War 2 Air Force Base. Project Services: Installed 11 Monitoring Wells at several different depts depending on the location The depths of the Wells included: 6 x 35 ft, 1 x 51 ft, 2 x 55 ft and 2 x 60 ft. Groundwater monitoring well installation included SCH 40 PVC casings, at depths up to 15 feet 3 deeper wells (51 – 60 ft.) were installed in the west area of the OEA to reach the deep sector of the plume Wells are 1" with 5 ft of prepack screen. Hand clear to 5 ft and Macrocore to TD Complete with a 2 x 2 pad and an 8" bolt down cover in all wells GPR borehole clearance in all locations, performed by GeoView, wholly owned subsidiary of Ambient Technologies, Inc.
