Project scope and field context
Ambient Technologies Drilling Team completed 19 wells and soil sampling borings (DPT Cores) and 3 wells with Piezometers using Direct Push Technology (DPT) for an environmental site assessment to investigate soil and groundwater conditions at a Forest Cleaners in Silver Springs, Florida. The Ambient Technologies Team used a GEOPROBE 7822DT to install nine (9) ground water soil borings at a depth of 38 ft bls with soil sampling at 15ft, 25ft and 35ft and in Phase 2, three (3) additional monitoring wells were installed to 15ft. Additional three (3) wells were installed with Piezometers, which are used to monitor the movement of contaminants in groundwater. This helps in assessing the extent and direction of contaminant plumes at the project site. GEOPROBE rods and drive points were used to drill the bore holes and then have access to a 30-minute groundwater sampling. All the locations were hand-augured to a minimum depth of 5ft below ground surface (bgs) to be cleared of any undocumented obstructions and utilities. Project Services: 1st Mobilization • Geoprobe - DPT Install two (2) SBs to 60ft. Hand clear to 5ft and macrocore to TD. Plug and patch once completed. • Geoprobe - DPT Install nine (9) GW/SBs to 35ft. GW samples at 15ft, 25ft and 35ft. Hand clear to 5ft and macrocore to TD. Plug and patch once completed. • Geoprobe - DPT install three (3) Piezo/MWs to 15ft. Wells are 1" with 10ft of 0.006 prepack screen. Hand clear to 5ft and macrocore to TD. • Complete all wells with 2x2 (or donut) pad and 8" bolt down cover. 2nd Mobilization • Geoprobe - DPT install three (3) MWs to 15ft. Wells are 1" with 10ft of 0.006 prepack screen. Hand clear to 5ft and macrocore to TD. • Geoprobe - DPT install one (1) MW to 35ft. Well is 1" with 5ft of 0.006 prepack screen. Hand clear to 5ft and macrocore to TD. • Complete all wells with 2x2 (or donut) pad and 8" bolt down cover.
