Ambient Technologies Drilling Team completed 16 wells using Direct Push Technology (DPT) with Hollow Stem Augers (HSA) at a future Zack’s Fine Food and Ice Cream site in Deland, Florida. A GEOPROBE 7822DT was used to install Soil Vapor Extraction Wells and Air Sparging Wells. The Ambient Technologies Team used GEOPROBE 7822DT to install eleven (11) Air Sparging (AS) Wells at a depth of 38 ft bls and five (5) Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) Wells to 20 ft bls at the selected boring locations. GEOPROBE rods and drive points were used to drill the bore holes and then have access to a 30-minute groundwater sampling process to complete delineation of the presence of the common volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in groundwater. All the locations were hand-augured to a minimum depth of 5 ft below ground surface (bgs) to be cleared of any undocumented obstructions and utilities. The tested VOCs included industrial solvents, such as trichloroethylene; fuel oxygenates such as methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE); or by-products produced by chlorination in water treatment, such as chloroform. DPT tooling decontamination was performed prior to the first sampling location and in-between each sampling interval and well location. All decontamination fluids and solids were collected and containerized in 55-gallon drums. Project Services: Geoprobe- HSA Install five (5) SVE Wells to 20ft. Wells are 2" with 15ft of regular 0.010 slotted screen. Hand clear to 5ft and macrocore to TD for soil samples. Geoprobe- HSA Install eleven (11) AS Wells to 38ft. Wells are 2" with 2ft of regular 0.010 slotted screen. Hand clear to 5ft and macrocore to TD for soil samples. Complete all wells with a grout cap.
