Ambient Technologies Drilling Team completed one 16 Soil Borings, 15 Groundwater Soil Borings and 11 Monitoring Wells, using Direct Push Technology (DPT) for an environmental site assessment to investigate soil and groundwater conditions at the Manatee Fire Academy 5030 Lakewood Ranch Blvd, Bradenton, Florida . The key contamination consists of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS). The Ambient Technologies Team used a GEOPROBE 7822DT one (1) 100 ft Soil Boring, fifteen (15) Groundwater Soil Borings to 80 ft and installed eleven (11) Monitoring Wells to 12 ft. Three (3) wells were installed with Piezometers, which are used to monitor the movement of contaminants in groundwater. This helps in assessing the extent and direction of contaminant plumes at the project site. GEOPROBE rods and drive points were used to drill the bore holes and then have access to a 30-minute groundwater sampling . All the locations were hand-augured to a minimum depth of 5ft below ground surface (bgs) to be cleared of any undocumented obstructions and utilities. Project Services: • Geoprobe- DPT install one (1) SB up to 100ft. Hand clear to 5ft and macrocore to TD (if need). Plug and patch one complete. • Geoprobe- DPT install fifteen (15) GW/SB up to 80ft. Estimate 8 GW per location. Hand clear to 5ft and macrocore to TD (if need). Plug and patch one complete. • Geoprobe- DPT with auger attachment Install eleven (11) MWs to 12ft. Wells are 0.75" with 10ft of prepacked screen. Hand clear to 5ft and macrocore to TD for soil samples. • Complete all wells with 2x2 pad and 8" bolt down cover.
